Gisborne has great beaches, top vineyards and excellent accommodation

Eastland's major city, Gisborne has warm summers and mild winters. It has many kilometres of pristine coastline with excellent surfing breaks and perfect beaches.  The area grows kiwifruit, citrus, subtropical fruits and grapes. In fact, it is a great wine producing area, with many quality wineries and restaurants, and an annual wine festival. You can also try adventure sports such as horse riding, hiking, kayaking and quad biking, or more sedate activities such as garden visits and a dip in hot pools.

Gisborne accommodation options include the Eastland Motor Lodge in the city centre, and The Casa Blanca Motel situated opposite beautiful Waikanae beach.
