Queenstown is often called the "Adventure Capital of the World". Here, you can bungy jump or go on a thrilling jet boat ride, go heli-skiing, sky diving, fly-by-wire, and luge in the snow. There are a multitude of ski fields in the North and South Islands for both beginners and advanced skiers. There is a wide variety of New Zealand accommodation options close to skiing areas, including luxury lodges which include gourmet meals, and backpacker hostels with dormitory bedding.
