Safely nestled amongst native bush on the edge of pristine Lake Wakatipu, just 5 miles from Queenstown, Matakauri Lodge offers absolute comfort as well as stunning panoramic alpine views.
Amid towering mountain peaks and green high country pasture, the Lodge and its adjoining villas are luxuriously appointed and every suite exudes intimacy and romance.
The three suites and four villas feature combinations of separate lounges with log fire places (villas only) opening onto large private balconies. The large bathrooms in our villas all have spectacular views and offer double spa baths, double showers and twin vanities, as well as heated slate floors, spa tiles and towel rails.

Directions to Matakauri Luxury Lodge Queenstown
All visitors to Matakauri Lodge will first approach Queenstown via Frankton Road.•
At the second round about (rotary) turn left onto Shotover Street, and continue onto Lake Esplanade then follow the signage heading towards Glenorchy

Follow that road along the lakes edge (keeping the lake on your left) for 7 kilometres (4.5 miles).

Look for a sign Welcome to Closeburn, we are 150 metres beyond this sign.

Look on the left hand side of the road for a side road sign-posted in yellow Matakauri Lodge
•
Follow the signage to lodge and reception
