Tirimoana House

For most of the last century and until the present day, visitors have enjoyed holidaying at the western arm of Queen Charlotte Sound. The first building, Thompsons Farm, took paying quests and was one of the first "farmstay's" in New Zealand. The farm evolved into the much loved "Tiri Moana Hotel' which sadly burnt down in the early 1960's. Tirimoana House now stands on that site. "Suitable for anyone requiring rest and change, and complete shelter from cold winds and the abundant sunshine . . . . " this was the claim in the1950's and it still stands true today

The Sunrise Suite features a huge picture window opening onto a Juliet Balcony with stunning 25km views eastwards down Queen Charlotte Sound. Super king or twin bed options, deep armchairs, a spa bathroom, a fridge with tea and coffee making facilities are provided

Two roomy Queen bedrooms have comfortable queen sized beds and full ensuite facilities. Both rooms enjoy lovely views of local yachts and launches on their moorings from their gable windows.
