The Garden House
We offer self-contained accommodation on the southernmost coast of New Zealand's South Island. Yes we face Antarctica! Sealions, penguins and Hector's dolphins live around our shores.
A piece of NZ History, the former Fortrose teacher's house, built in 1938, sits now in our large sheltered farm garden, in total serenity.
The Garden House has atmosphere, space and comfort. Patio, large lawn and garden. Two bedrooms and spare beds. Good books, games, trampoline, woodburner, fully equipped kitchen and all the linen supplied.
Sleeps 2-6. Two bedrooms, spare beds, this house is full of local history, good books, lots of paintings, period ceilings and native wood floors.
Full kitchen and laundry, Yunca Woodburner. Comfy beds, electric blankets. TV, radio and CD player. Games, bike, trampoline, big lawn and patio.
Private access across the farm to the Southern Ocean with its Jurassic coast, birdlife, views of Stewart Island, a great place to build a summer bonfire on the sand and watch the sun go down.
We try to think of everything for a happy holiday home.
