A 1930's farmhouse on small lifestyle block in the peaceful Cambridge countryside, amidst renowned horse stud farms minutes from Lake Karapiro, famous for its rowing and water sports.
Situated 5 minutes south of Cambridge, Birches is an idyllic peaceful retreat. Enjoy our swimming pool, BBQ and , tennis court set in private established gardens. In the winter months relax in front of the open fires or soak in the hot tub.
Breakfasts, served alfresco in summer or in dining room, are a specialty with fresh fruit, homemade muesli, muffins and breads or bacon and eggs to order.
Birches Farmhouse: Twin room with double and single bed adjacent to guests sitting and dining rooms. Private bathroom with spabath opposite in hall.
Cherry Tree Cottage: Quaint garden cottage with french doors opening to private garden area and separate driveway. Recently renovated to add a country kitchen/ sitting room with double sofa bed. Queen bedroom with ensuite is suitable for couples wanting privacy. Breakfast supplies are provided.

Directions to Birches
From Cambridge town go to end of Victoria St and over narrow bridge over Waikato River. Turn left off bridge, up to round about and turn right onto Shakespeare St. Go about 1 km through Leamington shops and turn left at Browning St - signed to Lake Karapiro.It is three kms to our gate from there -(Browning runs into Maungatautari Rd) and we are #263 on the left. Black horse fence on front of property. Opposite and past Chequers Stud and before Trelawny main gates.
