Muritai Manor
Originally built in 1903 for the local archdeacon, Muritai Manor was renovated by Jan & Stan in 1997 keeping in its original Edwardian style.
High ceilings, polished native timber floors in the hall and guest lounge, fine kauri fireplaces with open fires to warm yourself by in winter - warm comfortable surroundings entice you in!
Outside is a solar heated swimming pool, large sundeck with sun umbrellas, a spa pool and well established gardens.
All the guest bedrooms have their own ensuite facilities (two with a bath as well as a shower). Beds are either super king/twin, queen, or double beds. Each room, individually designed and furnished with antiques, has tea and coffee making facilities, television, bathrobes and fresh flowers. Four of the rooms are upstairs in the Edwardian House, one is in our cottage.
Breakfast in luxurious elegance - your meal will be tailored to suit your needs, but typically will include freshly squeezed juice, fresh fruits and yoghurt, fresh ground coffee or selection of teas, and delicious cooked savoury dishes.
Complementary tea, coffee and cold drinks are available all day in our sunny guest lounge, and for the comfort of our guests, there is no smoking in the house.

Directions to Muritai Manor
Muritai Manor is 7 kilometres north of Nelson City on the road to Blenheim.Travelling from Nelson City / Airport: Take Highway 6 following the signs for Blenheim – Picton - Interisland Ferry. Muritai Manor is on the right hand side approximately 500 metres after Clifton Terrace Primary School.
Travelling from Blenheim / Havelock to Nelson: Muritai Manor is about 7 kilometres after Hira settlement approximately 500 metres beyond the Atawhai Community Church on the left hand side. (Nelson is about two hours drive from the Picton Ferry terminal).
