Set on 6 acres of elevated rural land nestled close to the Oxford foothills in Canterbury you will find our quality accommodation warm and inviting. Our aim is to make you feel welcome and cater for your individual requirements so that you leave with happy memories of Hielan House and Oxford. We would enjoy sharing your travel experiences over a cuppa or at dinner. We are located just off Inland Scenic Route 72, which is the gateway to the rest of the South Island including the West Coast, Mt Cook, Methven, The Glaciers and Tekapo, Hamner and Kaikoura.
Our home is situation 180m from the road with off-street parking and no traffic noise.
Spacious gardens to wander around and relax.Farm animals and lambs to feed in spring.
Guest accommodation upstairs with separate entrance.
In ground swimming pool in summer. Free laundry, email facilities, spa and sauna.
Directions to Hielan House Country Stay
Oxford is ideally situated for travellers while driving on the Inland Scenic Route 72. If you want to avoid Christchurch while transversing the South Island then Oxford is an ideal place to stop. We are 3 minutes drive from the centre of Oxford and off the Main street. Turn into Bay Road and you will find Bush Road about 800m on your left. We are 800m on the right, just on the bend and 20m off the seal. Our home is situated at the top of our drive 180m from the Road.Safe parking and away from traffic noise.
