The Tamara Backpackers Lodge strives to offer a superior standard within the Backpacker category of accomodation. You will enjoy style, serenity and space while still located in the heart of the city.
Our elegant lodge enjoys an outstanding location on the banks of the majestic Whanganui River with views of Mt Ruapehu. We are less than 1km from Wanganui’s main street, Victoria Ave.
Relaxation points are plentiful and perhaps you can see yourself relaxing in hammocks under the Palm tree in the large garden. Or, maybe playing darts or pool in a games room that also caters for the minstrels with a piano and a guitar.
Don't miss the small Art Gallery upstairs! We have a separate T V lounge and the dining room also has a lounge area. The kitchen has been refurbished and is fully equipped. The bedrooms are spacious and of course heated
