Welcome to our charming and romantic 1862 home, with its remarkable 180 degree views of Nelson town, harbour, the ocean and hills. Watch the nightly sunset show from the garden or guest balcony.
We offer two tastefully furnished bedrooms with very comfortable quality king/queen beds and lovingly restored NZ antique furniture. The guest sitting room leads into the garden where you can book a private session iin the under the stars therapy spa overlooking the city lights. Indulge in an optional organic home baked breakfast.
Enjoy the beautiful treed drive and forest back drop yet only a short walk to the centre of town, and the nearby walking track to the Centre of New Zealand.
THE TOPAZ ROOM is very spacious and contains a local wood turned quality king-size bed and has a comfortable and supportive mattress. Your hosts have lovingly restored native timber antique furniture from New Zealand's colonial past. The room has an atmosphere of peace and calm. As well as antique furniture it has a large walk-in wardrobe, table and chairs, tea and coffee making facilities, and a TV on request.
THE LAPIS ROOM is invitingly light and airy and contains a very comfortable quality queen size slat bed with a traditional style wrought iron frame from which you can watch the constantly changing tides and see the distant hills on awakening. It has a beautifully restored native timber and marble Victorian wash-stand combining six different New Zealand timbers. There is a large walk-in wardrobe, table with tea and coffee making facilities, a TV on request, and seating for two people.
