Island View Bed and Breakfast
Island View Bed & Breakfast is a brand new purpose built Bed and Breakfast set high on a hill in Leigh with magnificent Sea views to Little Barrier Island, Great Barrier Island, Tawharanui and the Coromandel Peninsular.
The guest facilities consist of a large queen size double bed room and a double room with twin single beds. You have your own entrance, own lounge, dining room and large bathroom. There is parking right outside your door.
We are ten minutes from Matakana with its Farmers Market on a Saturday morning and lots of new specialty shops which have just been completed this last year. There are also 3 boutique cinemas and various restaurants.
Five minutes from the B & B is Goat Island Reserve where you can swim with the fish or go on the Glass Bottom Boat. Or hire a boat and go fishing around Little Barrier and Cape Rodney. Take a 20 minute drive over to Pakiri and go horse riding on the beach. There are many vineyards to visit with great restaurants for you to sample the great wine and food.
Or just walk for 5 minutes over the hill to Matheson Bay for a swim. There are also many walks around the cliff tops and down to and around Leigh Harbour.
I can assure you that you will find plenty to do!

Directions to Island View Bed and Breakfast
Travel North on State Highway One to Warkworth, approximately one hour north of Auckland Harbour Bridge. At second set of traffic lights, at the northern end of Warkworth, turn right and immediately bear left into Leigh Rd. Follow Leigh signs through Matakana, on road to Goat Island Marine Reserve until you reach the hill going down into Leigh - Little Barrier Island is right in front of you. At the bottom of the hill turn right into Wonderview Rd and right again into Lax Cres. We are number 22 high up on the right.More about our New Zealand accommodation
