Looking towards the setting sun your view is rimmed with mountain peaks. Snow capped in winter, unmarked by mans hand, their bush covered flanks lead your eyes to Lake Manapouri's edge. The beach and native bush covered islands blend into a silvered surface, which reflects the mountain images, clouds, colours stars and moon.
Marvellous Manapouri, even the name is shrouded in myth and mystery.

Directions to Cathedral Peaks B and B
From Mossburn travel towards Te Anau, there is a turn off to Manapouri about 16ks before Te Anau.Travel into Manapouri and you will come to a T intersection with the lake in front of you.
To reach us just turn to the right and travel about 1/2k towards Te Anau and we are just before the hotel.
By car Manapouri is approx.
2 1/2 hrs travel from Queenstown
2 1/2 hrs travel from Milford Sounds
and only 15 minutes walk to the Doubtful Sound departure wharf.
