Kingfisher Retreat is a recently constructed luxury bed & breakfast with a Mediterranean influence. For your comfort, all rooms are ensuite and equipped with TV, stereo, alarm clocks and coffee/tea making facilities. The two ground floor rooms ('Kingfisher' and 'West wing') each have a private entrance, whilst the upper floor room has a balcony with sea views. The ‘West wing’ has a 36” TV and private patio area.
Nestled in Northland's stunning Bay of Islands and enjoying both sea and rural views, Kingfisher Retreat is ideally located to explore the Bay and beyond. In Kerikeri Township sample the fine restaurants, wineries and savour its coffee house scene. Paihia is close by and we would be pleased to arrange excursions such as swimming with the Dolphins, Hole in the Rock, Cape Reinga or simply cruising the Bay. Waitangi, the birthplace of New Zealand, is a 25-minute drive away. Russell, the old capital of New Zealand, is accessible via the car ferry at Opua or the passenger ferry at Paihia.
The West Wing Room is a spacious room enjoying rural views and offers a luxury King bed with ensuite bathroom and shower. From the ranch slider this room enjoys private outside access. For your pleasure it has a 36inch flat screen Television, DVD player, Stereo, alarm clock & tea/coffee making facilities and hair drier.
The Kingfisher Room enjoys rural views and offers a Queen bed, ensuite bathroom with shower and private outside access. For your pleasure it has a Television, Stereo, alarm clock (you wouldn’t want to miss those Dolphins) & tea/coffee making facilities and hair drier.
The Balcony Room enjoys both rural and sea views and offers a luxury King bed with ensuite bathroom and shower. For your enjoyment it has a Television, Stereo, alarm clock & tea/coffee making facilities and hair drier.
There are Internet, email and laundry facilities and a Guest fridge.
Courtesy collection from Kerikeri airport would be our pleasure.
Delicious cooked and continental breakfasts.

Directions to Kingfisher Retreat
Directions to Kingfisher Retreat from AucklandAir New Zealand fly from Auckland to Kerikeri airport several times a day. The flight takes approx 45mins. Collection from the airport with prior arrangement would be our pleasure.
Travelling via road
Take state highway 1 to Whangarei / Northland. Stay on state highway 1. Travel through the outskirts of Whangarei continuing on to Kawakawa. At Kawakawa take left turning through town staying on state highway 1. After approx 10 km take right turning for state highway 10, Kerikeri, Doubtless Bay & Bay Of Islands. After approx 10 km take right turning for Kerikeri. Continue through town, past stone store, over single lane bridge, over small roundabout (Landing Road) continue along the road until you reach the T-junction with Kapiro Road / Skudders Beach Road. Turn right at this junction & then next left for Kingfisher Drive. Kingfisher Retreat will be found approx 500 metres on left hand side.
