Countryhouse

Rural setting only 1.6km from the town square. Countryhouse is on 2.5 acres with rural views in all directions but so handy to Golf Course (300 metres), Tennis and squash courts, vineyards, top restaurants and lovely peaceful walks.

Countryhouse has three double bedrooms and a sleepout with four bunks. The master bedroom has a King Size bed and ensuite and the other two are queen beds. A wonderful wrap around verandah surrounds most of the house and bi fold doors in three different parts of the house give great ventilation during the hot Wairarapa summers. Sit outdoors in the sun for breakfast and for cocktails last thing in the day.

Amenities include TV, Video, Stereo, DVD player, SKY TV, Gas BBQ, outdoor furniture, woodburning fire. A washing machine and dryer are available and the modern kitchen is very well equiped.

Countryhouse is surrounded by a large lawn and the 2.5 acres is divided into three paddocks and for animal lovers there are usually cows or sheep who will get up close to you if you are patient.

Making arrangements for big occasions is no problem at Countryhouse. The covered veranda is a very roomy 2 meters wide and a wrap around awning with windows is available for those times when you want to extend the size of the house to cater for large parties. The awning requires fitting and there is an added charge for this and the hire but it makes Countryhouse a very large facility.

Price guide
Rates are $250 for the first couple and $50 for each additional person per night. No charge for children under 2. We have a requirement of minimum revenue from one stay of $500 and between 1st December and 31st March all bookings must be for minimum 2 days stay. In the period December 20th to January 7th we will require longer bookings with higher occupancy.

Special prices will be negotiated for stays longer than 5 days. Please email mikenel@xtra.co.nz. For Toast Martinborough and the Martinborough fair weekends we require full occupancy for a minimum of 2 days at increased rates. For extended weekends such as Labour Weekend, Queens Birthday etc we require a substantial booking of either people or days or both. Easter weekend we require a minimum of 3 days and full occupancy or 4 days with lower occupancy. Toast is held on the 3rd weekend of November each year the fairs are the first weekends in February and March.
