Glenfalloch Cookshop
Located in the headwaters of the Rakaia River, Glenfalloch offers the discerning traveler style, comfort and privacy in the High Country two hours drive west of Christchurch and one hour from Ashburton.
The Cookshop is set on a superb site with commanding views overlooking the Rakaia and the Mathias River and is surrounded by snow covered mountains and glaciers.
The accommodation complex contains three houses with twelve bedrooms. The houses are tastefully renovated and decorated to provide a warm homely feel and to fit in with their New Zealand high country surroundings. Generous living and landscaped areas provide ample room for relaxing and socializing.
It is perfect for business as well as pleasure. Its elegant style and serene setting make it an ideal venue for your corporate retreat. A conference/meeting room seats 30 and features a spacious deck with inspirational views. Internet access, modern audio visual equipment and fax services are all available.
Guests have easy access to the back country for walks, the station's 4WD tracks, fishing, claybird shooting and mountain biking. Scenic Helicopter flights over the nearby glaciated Main Divide can be arranged from the Helipad
From July to October Methven Heliskiing operates from the Glenfalloch Helipad.
