Experience something special at Ngaio bay, with its own private beach, situated in a truly remote corner of the Marlborough Sounds. Breathtaking wilderness and physical beauty, warm welcoming hosts, scrumptious food, peace and tranquility, fresh seafood, own homegrown organic fruit and vegetables when available seasonally, beautiful garden, stunning sunsets, and comfortable private separate accommodation. Close to the awesome waters of French Pass. Ideal for a romantic honeymoon, a weekend escape, a relaxing holiday, a family get-together,or a wilderness adventure. Your stay at Ngaio Bay will be a genuine and authentic Kiwi experience. The Garden Cottage, with small private deck, is hidden in the garden and overlooks the beach. The loft style Rose and Dolphin is sunny and spacious, with a small veranda that looks down on a stream, bush and the beach. A favourite specialty is our private oudoor bath on the beach, fireheated and enjoyed at sunset, or under sun, stars or rain, prepared by your hosts. Dinner is included in the tarriff. we have three well-behaved loveable labradors. Children are welcome.

Directions to Ngaio Bay Homestay and Bed and Breakfast
We are approx. 2 hours from both Nelson and Blenheim. Turn off State Highway 6 near Rai Valley and take "the long and winding road" and scenic route to French Pass. We are 4 km before the end of the road. Our property is an the left, about an hour and half from the turn off, well marked with a sign on our mail box, reading "The Sonnelands, Ngaio Bay, Private Rd". We recommend driving along to the next cattle stop to turn around and approach our driveway from the other direction.If uncertain , please phone for directions.
