Come and sample our slice of heaven. The lodge is situated on 16 acres of gardens and farmland, with almost 1 kilometer of absolute river frontage to the Owen River.

One of the highlights of your stay at Owen River Lodge will be the meals. New Zealand's unique cuisine has grown from a fusion of highly distinct cultures - Māori, Polynesian, Asian and every kind of European. We call the cuisine that emerges from this fusion - Pacifica cuisine.

The food at Owen River Lodge could best be described as stunning. We use the best of fresh, locally sourced produce and wines. Naturally the tariff includes all your meals and non alcoholic beverages.

To ensure your absolute privacy, guests are accommodated in one of four cottages which are located in the gardens, a short stroll from the main lodge. All the cottages have stunning views of the river, valley and mountains.

Each cottage is luxuriously appointed with reverse cycle air conditioning; king sized beds, original fine art works and feature 100 year old recycled oregon beams and woodwork.

For the fly fishing enthusiast - the Lodge is centrally located, with easy access to the Nelson/ Marlborough and West Coast fisheries.
Thus you can enjoy fly fishing on numerous blue-ribbon streams and rivers, with over 30 waters accessible by road (most within 1 hour’s drive), and countless others by helicopter.

Tariff - 1st October 2007 to 30th April 2008

Our tariff includes the use of all lodge facilities, (Including the use of loan fly fishing equipment, waders, boots, mountain bikes etc), lunch, pre dinner nibbles, dinner, accommodation in one of our cottages and continental or cooked breakfast. Our cottage guest suites can be configured with either a King double bed or 2 x King single beds.


1st October 2007 to 30th November 2007 (Early season)
Our early season accommodation rate is NZ $350 per person per night, twin share. (NZ $450 per night for a single occupancy guest)

1 December 2007 > 31 March 2008 (High Season)
Our high season accommodation rate is NZ $390 per person per night, twin share. (NZ $490 per night for a single occupancy guest)

1 April 2008 > 30 April 2008 (Late season)
Our late season accommodation rate is NZ $350 per person per night,
twin share. (NZ $450 per night for a single occupancy guest)


*Special rates are available for returning or long stay guests

Children under 12 years of age can usually be accommodated by prior arrangement.

All tariffs are quoted in New Zealand Dollars and include GST.
