Captains Cottage

The "Captains Cottage" is on the waterfront set in bush beside Glenfalloch Woodland Gardens.
Christine and Robert make wildlife documentaries for television and enjoy sharing their knowledge and can help you plan your stay so you get the most out of the unique wildlife in the area.
he house is both comfortable and full of character as we have collected so many interesting bits and pieces from our various filming locations around the world.
We have separate rooms downstairs for our guests with their own bathroom or en-suite and single, doubles, or Californian king sized beds.
We have an old world garden with tracks leading into the bush where you can surround yourself with the chorus of the Bell Birds, Tuis, Cuckoos, and Kingfishers or watch Wood Pigeons and White Faced Herons in the trees just above your head.
In the evening if you choose to we can sit around our rustic hand carved old Indian dining table and feast on the Pacific style food.
It is like a dinner party every night with the flow of animated conversation and laughter aided by the complimentary wine. If there is a chill in the air we will be relaxing around the fire or better still on the deck under the umbrella and the stars on our balmy summer nights.
