Riverview Lodge

Riverview Lodge is a restored Edwardian Gentleman's residence on the banks of the Avon River, built in the early years of this country.

The lodge offers quality accommodation in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Ideally situated on the banks of the picturesque Avon River, just 10 minutes river walk to Cathedral Square.

Breakfast is a house speciality. We offer a varied choice of cooked and continental fare served in the Turret Dining Room.
Bicyles, kayaks and golf clubs are available for guests.

Your hosts Mark and Andera van Dooren have backgrounds in International Hospitality and pride themselves on the ultimate service with a smile. Mark is a Canterbury Lad raised in the area with a wealth of knowledge of the Christchurch and Canterbury province and can help all guests with their querries of this region. Andrea, from Wigan Lancashire UK, also has extensive NZ travel experience.

A delightfull Boutique Room offering a beautiful aspect with french doors to river facing balcony and ensuite bathroom. Queen size bed with small sitting area within this quaint room.

Romantically Orientated. Providing a personal sitting area with Majestic views Over the Avon River with French Doors Opening onto your balcony.
Luxury Queen Size Bed and private bathroom facilities.

The Rose Room
This spacious elegant period room retains the edwardian character with ensuite bathroom and private balcony overlooking garden to Avon River.

Single Room
The sunny northfacing warm room includes ensuite bathroom and is ideal for the single guest.
