Gileads Garden Cottages
Gilead's Garden Cottage accommodation is situated in the heart of the Upper Moutere, between Nelson and Motueka, at the top of New Zealand's south island. This area is well known for its orchards, vineyards and hop gardens. It is in this peaceful garden setting that your hosts, Dorothy and Doug, have built two private, self contained, studio holiday cottages. These holiday homes are the perfect holiday escape or honeymoon location.
The two very separate cottages are surrounded by trees and bushes, and a developing garden. The comfortable cottages are completely self contained.
At the end of the garden there is a large pond. It is populated by mallard, grey and paradise duck. With occasional visits from black swan and herons. The morepork (New Zealand native owl) can be heard calling at night.
In the fields, tame black sheep eye you in the hope that you might give them a tasty apple as a treat.
Our cottage accommodation is very comfortable for two. Well made and well appointed with plenty of wood, you'll quickly feel warm and welcome. Light airy and open plan, these holiday cottages are ideal for spending time winding down and doing nothing as you recharge the body and soul. They're also the perfect honeymoon hideaway or base to explore New Zealand's Nelson and Tasman regions.

Directions to Gileads Garden Cottages
Directions: From Nelson head towards Motueka. Just north of Appleby take a left turn signed Moutere Highway. At Upper Moutere measure 4km then turn left into Neudorf Road. You will find our part of paradise on the left, 1km from the turn off into Neudorf Road.From Motueka head down the High Street towards Nelson. At the roundabout turn right, then left at the crossroads onto Moutere Highway. Follow the road for about ten minutes and then take the right turn into Neudorf Road. You will find our part of paradise on the left, 1km from the turn off into Neudorf Road.
