the Haruru Falls Motor Inn, motor home-caravan and camping park
with 14 self contained Family and studio motel units located by the beautiful Haruru falls.

It's a convenient base, a centre from which to enjoy all the natural wonders,
and activities of Paihia, Russell and Waitangi and all the rest that Northland has to offer,
whilst providing a peaceful haven to relax, knowing that should the mood to mix arise,
you're only minutes from restaurants and hotels.

The Motor Home/Caravan Park has a long palm-fringed frontage to the Waitangi Lagoon, with private beach, launching ramp and historic wharf for blue-water access. On-site caravans are available, plus 40 tent / van / motor home sites, 34 with power.

Nestling peacefully in the river valley where the Waitangi falls into the tidal lagoon, exactly halfway between Kawakawa and Kerikeri on the Bay Of Islands main arterial route lies Haruru Falls. Originally called the Waitangi Falls by the colonising Pakeha,the Maori word ‘Haruru’ meaning ‘Big Roar’ has now become accepted as the name, not only of the falls, but of the growing township. With approximately 700 residents, a light industrial area, the new Watea riverside residential development, four motels and camping grounds serving the expanding tourist population, an airfield and Paihia’s only ‘real’ Pub which pulses with live music at weekends, Haruru Falls can truly be said to be the ‘beating heart’ in the centre of the Bay Of Islands.
